New trade agreement before Congress

Can it be believe about our President and his administration about with holding the report about Labor conditions in Central America but that is what was done. Bush and his administration is the most crooked administration I believe that there has been. I think he really ought to go to jail. How can a President of the United State Sell out the American people like he has done? I wonder when the American people are going to demand an accounting of the Bush Administration? Are the American people so ignorant that they do not know what is going on? It sure looks that way. If the American People do not wake will our Republican form of Government Survive? It looks like TV sure has hurt the this country and it is being used to really help destroy. People need to learn how to read.

congress on VA

I see where the VA is one billion dollars short of needed funds for the new vets. Why can not the present administration tell the truth from the beginning. They have lied to the American People about so many things. They lied about the cost of Medicare Precriptions and then it does not really help present Medicare Holders, Now the truth come out about The cost of VA to new crop of veterans from Iraq and Afganistan. The democrats finally got the Republicans to vote on more money for the VA.One strangest about it is republicans talked to the Veterans how they were the better party for them than the democrats. I hope the American people learn pretty soon.

Public Radio

The reason Republican Congress want to get rid of Public Radio is that they do not want the American people to know anything. it is possibly the only media that tells the people the truth about what is going on. American people needs PBS badly. PBS at least tells both sides of any subject. It is the only media that has hour long times on any subject. It is not broken up every 5 minutes by advertisement. The commericial media is broken up in such a way there is not any way to really connect what they are talking about. I do not know if anybody reads what I writing about but it is a way to express myself. I notice since BBC got into some trouble and apparently the English Government put pressure on them- I notice on the internet BBC does not put out what they used to. Please do not do PBS the same way- Leave them the way they are.

New taxation for Schools

The Kansas Supreme court has just made the Ks Legistlature to increase taxes for School. it is assumed that the legistlature will do it. With all the taxes increases and teacher salary increased- where has the level of public school education ever been increased. In fact - it seems like the more money that they get the less education the public school students seem to get. Where the changes are needed are in grade school and with the present Teacher education will never do it. What is needed is top high school grads to teach in grade school. The simple fact is the high school grad are not trained on ignorance of the general public. I really doubt if they doubled the money going to public school will they get any better. First there has to be people that really believe that the students can learn. I could go further but enough is here. Please do research and find out what really is going on.

Alternatives in Education Schools without Teachers

There was an editorial in the San Francisco Chronicle by Kitty Kell Eptsein about schools that were essentially with out teachers. People should write to the San Francisco chronicle about this article. Essentially it portrays a situation the teachers with their basic education type course really can not teach certain subjects. If the school is going to have teachers teach math then the school should require or get teachers that know math not whether they have a degree in education. This according to the article was true with Spannish. Our school system should require that teachers or should I say leaders of a class room at least be able to handle the subject that they are trying to lead the students into learning. This country really has a problem with the idea that a teacher college graduate makes a good teacher. Maybe some day this country will learn what is really needed to lead the students and that is not always a degree in Education. Maybe it is time that teacher colleges closed up and just an exam be used to get teachers. That should be in the subjects that is to be taught. The rest can be learned on the job. I have changed some of the thoughts in the article but these ideas are worth listening too.

is Clinton to blame for 9-11

This comment come from the morning paper in the opinion line. -Bill Clinton is to blame for Iraq? Please if you want to blame someone, blame the the Republican Congress members who were too busy crucifying Clinton to pay attention to International Terrorists. American people need to put the attention of international terrisism right where it belong on the Republican majority. The media was also too blame as they were involved in the "get Clinton Campaign". The media did not go out of their way and get into the problems of the world. The American still need it today. The Republicans won the elections and the American People are really losing because of it.

A couple of Republican Senators

Senator Brownback seems to have to have ok of his church before he will ok even some of Bush's appointees. I alway thought these Senators and Representatives were supposed to represent their constituents not their church or just their narrow party line. I guess that is not true with the present bunch in Washington.
it seems like in South Dakota new Senator ran on the basis of getting more out of Washington than his Democratic rival could. Do people really think that a republican can get more out of Bush ? I think they are in for a big surprise. Maybe money to help get elected but nothin for the American people.

Bushes Reduction of taxes mades permanent

There ought to be a campaign to congress to put the Taxes back on the books. If we do not there will be huge and bigger national debt. I fully believe the Bush Administration is trying to destroy this country fiancially so to make the working people poor. There is only so much money to be had from the working poor to build schools, roads, etc. Do we want to have another dark ages? that is what will happen unless we tax the rich and the powerful. Do we want to lose our democracy? Do we want to lose our middle class? People better think about what is happening to this country. There was an article about the air we breathe back in the 70's and present time. If President Bush has his way the air will be that way again. I really think President Bush ought to be impeached for the policies that he is pushing. Local taxes will be so high that we will all be out in the streets begging for food. We already have food kitchens now feeding the poor. There has to be a change in the attitude in Washington if we are to survive. I am old enough to remember the 30's . We did have better schools then. Please do some research as to what is really going on and not listen to some empty phrases that comes from our present administration. Don

discussion about Howard Dean - Demo Chair

Howard Dean was on CNN Show I believe his name was Wolf Blitzer or something like that He comes on 5PM evenings on CNN. The commentator attacked Howard Dean about his views that I thought he was the Republican Chairman. Is something wrong with our Media when they attack the Democrats but cover up for the Republicans. It looked like he was actually screaming at Howard Dean. Basically all Dean had to say that the republicans have forgotten the working people. The problems about Social security, Medical Care, huge national debt, the problems in Iraq, and problems that do not seem to end. I remember when Kerry was running for Presidency and something came up about his service- 3 days later they were still going after it. Nobody has ever really got the truth about Bush's military service and there never was 3 or 4 days about his military service. Where is the socall liberal press? In the meantime the American people are losing out. I will say that Howard Dean stayed cool and calm and that was more than the commentator was doing. Oh well maybe that what we need to wake the people up.
