editorial about Candidates and science

The writer was complaining about the democratic and espeically the Republican candidates not discussing about science. It is too bad nobody realizes what is wrong about our schools. It is our so called educators. I see in Cincinatti they are changing the school system and demanding that teacher be acoountable for the kids instead of just blaming the parents. In places they have gone to single gender classes - either all boys or all girls with uniforms, and demanding of the young students they they do it. What I understand is that this system is working. I do not see why they do not make the Principals more accountable for the teachers and the students. I talked to somebody on a plane and I understand they are forcing the students to take a musical instrument as they found out that it sure helps the student learn math etc. The one thing that they remember is in order to play an instrument they have to learn the piec instead always tomrrrow which never comes. Our so call educators just do not have it and really do not know how, and they are trained to hate the parents so they have not any feeling for the young students. Enough will quit - I often wonder if anybody ever reads what I write. The only good thing is that I see things in the paper now and then and even hear things on tv that indicates that people are starting think different then what has gone on the last 20 or so years. luck in the future - Don

present economic problem

I wonder how soon a full blown recession comes about. The job is is getting smaller as our jobs are exported to China. The credit card is coming to an end as far as paying for everything. It is too bad that Bush was elected as He has destroyed this country 's financial condition. As he and Cheny lied to this country. Is it too late for this country come out of its troubles. It sure looks like the days of the 30's are coming back but in this case it could be worse. Just think the jobs are from fast foods and not anywhere else. There was a case where Cesna was exporting the manufacture of a small plane to China. I guess that is where the market is but time will tell. They said that they ( Cesna) could not manufacture the Airplane cheap enough in this country to be able to compete with other light plane mamufacter's . Bush and his cohorts should have been impeached for the damage they have done to this country. Oh well at my age what can I say.
