2 cp,,emts -teachers and CEO's

CEO's - question - why are not held accountable like any lower level Employee. How can put the company in debt - yet they are not accountable. There is something wrong somewhere. I know supposedly they are accountable to the Board of Directors and some instance to the Stock Holders. Who pays for their actions- from what I see are the Consumers and the Employees.
The second comment are the Teachers and if you look at the progress that has been made. The more Degree people as Teachers - lower the level the Schools have become.
I think I have mentioned before but back in the 30's and prior to that , all they had to do is to pass a Test. With that system - there was no Psychology in the schools, 1st grade had full course and by the time they got to 3rd grade there was real long division and they had to use their head and count. Along with Penmanship etc. Why does not people look at that point of view, and either rework So call teacher's colleges or just eliminate them. Enough said

I was watching History Channel and they had this discussion about Great Whites attacking.
I understand they were hunted pretty hard but coming back in force. They are getting closer to Beaches where Swimmers participate . I gather from the show that these sharks are getting bigger and are attacking Human. There was a case where a Killer Whale attacked her Trainer and killed her. The trainer I gather did not know what hit her as the Killer Whale came up from the Rear which is the way they hunt. I saw on evening where Killer "Whales actually come up on the beach for Seals. Just a stupid thought - I wonder if these Sharks are actully figering out who their enemies are. I think I saw where one got caught or was beached was somewhere 30 plus feet long. Somebody said on the show that there ancesters were 35 feet long. It could be that modern day shark are trying

Bed bugs in a motel , inspections

There was an article in today's paper about a motel that had bed bugs. It was reported accordingly to the article but as it turns out the State of Kansas did not have any money for inspections. I have written before about taxation of the rich and Big Corporation and deduction of taxes on the Federal level. It always come back to raising the taxes on the local people. Plus with the Corporations so deep in dept due to buying and selling of Companies by debt and the Corporations have to lay off people and export the jobs to cheap labor markets. There is not any money for things that are required to keep standard up. Thjey are talking about reducing Social Security and guess what who gambles but the retired people , it seems like Kansas made a million dollars on a Casino someplace but if the Old people get cut - who is going to play the Slot Machines. Cutting the taxes for the rich, Corporations buying out local Business's so they do not have competition and then not controlled by the Federal Government or taxed by the Federal Government - simple we are starting to see a big Depression because there is nobody to pay taxes and or buy the Merchandise that is sold in the local shops. That is why when the Republicans yell about cutting taxes - guess what the local ecomony goes down and like my water bill went jup approximately 25 percent. Even if I use the same quanity . it is required that have to have more money to keep the system operating. This country by the way is running out of water that is drinkable. I see where Obama our President wants to I believe I said it right several Billlion Dollars to clean up the great lakes as they have used as place dump chemicals, etc - just looke at what the Coal Companies are doing to West Virginia in slicing off the mountains to get to the coal and in the process are poluting the land and water. There are a lot of problems with the left overs that I believed piled into the stream I think it was Tenn. There has to be a change in our Congress and when a man like Obama is trying to do something then the people ought to get out in the streets and back him up. We have a debt that is out of sight but if you keep on no taxes and controll ofl the Corporations then this country will fold. I still remember the way the Roman Empire. Enough said that it is too bad people do not know what is going on and elect people that will honestly do something. We need Term limits and we need somebody like Teddy Roosevelt. Don

Stupid Educators

I read in the local paper about a 12 year old girl in the state of New York. What school did was call the local police and put her in jail. They took her out of the school in hand cuffs. What she supposedly did was to take a magic marker and wrote on her Desk. What she wrote I do not know. According to the Article - it was eraseable. Why did they take her to jail over doing what she did. In my old days they would at most swatted her once and let it go at that. The educators are too eager to call the police. Maybe they are like Band instructor in a local middle school that says all he has to do is to direct. The instructor today does not have to teach or lead their students into higher levels of Education. Locally they are trying to take Art and music out of the lower grades if they have not already done. Maybe that teacher should have been put in Jail. If the so call Teachers do not know how to lead the students- then don't you think- that they would quit their jobs as Ignorant Teachers. I guess enough said. You know it is strange - when I was a very young student- in many cases we did not have College graduates but teachers that could pass a test and guess what the levels of education was so much higher. As the so call teachers got degree - it seemed like with each degree the level of education fell to Zero. Don

A thought hit tonight but I have thought about it before. Just think of all the money spent on
wars and religion. One of these day - a comet or a meteorite will come out of space and destroy our civilization. I could be he lack of water, years of drought, or even too much water. Just think if the Moslems had put all that money into science and space programs - how many people would be saved. The Histroy channel has had on its program about the Comet or what ever hit Siberia in 1908 and the damage that it did. This could happen any time for the Home we know as Earth and that would be good by the Civilization that we know now. Maybe we need to learn something for Science Fiction because eventually the Climate changes whether naturally or man made will destroy us. So then will all the Churches and Religions be. The mass religions all hate one another that if that put that drive in the right directions then we maybe able to last a few more centuries. The Dynasoars lasted several million years and it eventually destroyed them. I admit one of the problems on the face of the Earth is the too many people. What will happen to the people of New York City if the Oceans keep rizing. They had a show about the dangers that the people of Naples face from their volcano in their back yard. We may need to find another Planet for the mass of people on the face of the Earth if some of these distasters happen. Just look what happened in Haiti- the story goes that there were 200,000 or more died in that Earth Quake. How about that Tsuma that happened in South East Asia what was it maybe l500k people were killed. I really think that countries will have to think about Weather Conditions, etc

Peopler and their ideas

We went to a young fellow's house last night who talks about Being A Libertarian. As I said once without the Democrats we would not have any things to help us survive. This young man Lives in a apartment area where they have subsidized rent. The Republicans or the Libertarians would do that. I do not know why people think that Republicans or the Libertarian would do such a thing. History has said no. Today the Republicans just say know to Obama's idea. All these voters especially in Kansas do not understand where things come from. Do not forget the Republicans have sold out this country to Big Corporations. Even that is their Budget plans now as they want to convert Social Security to Private corporations. It is that way the Health organizations now. Peopl also to wake up at least in present time to vote Democratic. In the past even the Democrats have gone out of controll but at the present time we need the Obama's plans. All I got to say - is think and learn. Churches are not the total answer, I agree they are needed for Morality purpose but they need to stay out of Education, economy. and politics. I believe it was in Haiti that they did not any public schools, I understand their were some Catholic Schools but that was not for the Average Person. Matter of Fact - did Haiti have a real functioning Government or anything resembling such. Is that what these Republicans and Libertarians want for this country. Is it not What Bush was trying to promote for this country along with Reagan - between the two dug into debt another 6 trillion dollars and sold out the American Worker. We need people to come out of High School that knows about History, Geography, and especially Government and how it operates and who puts in the politicians that supposed to look out for the people . Who is he going to report to? Just think I heard on TV that he got 450,000 dollars from Wall Street. Does Wall Street own another Republican that is willing to sell our country down the drain. It sure looks that way. Big corporations have destroyed our country financially . Just look the debt that the Republicans have put us into. A letter to the editor

There was a ltter to the editor here that was interesting. I have said it before if you want schools, libraries, bridges, etc you have elect Liberal. Peopl that vote for the Conservative now do not understand the difference in Politics and their philosophy and that is nothing for the average person. If you want the conservatives then just look at Haiti. They had no quality control on buildings, no school for the average person and what schools there were under the Catholic church. I know in this country the Catholic Schools have a good reputation but what would they have if there was not public School. The letter was by Pat Lenhman in the Wichita Eagle. This thing about Conservatives reminds me of the Republican Gov of Minnesota when that bridge fell down because he would not take any money to investigate Bridges. The Federal Government paid for that bridge. I think there is a story about A Representative from Minnesota that is ultra Conservative and whose district represents one of the poorer one or so the story goes. People worry about things like Sex( yet the Media pushes Sex for all ages)and Abortion. If these people loose their rights, health Insurance , etc would that be abetter way to vote. Luck Don
