Religion and wars?

I am not sure I understand why people are involved with religion. It sure does not help the people. It generates hatred and is used by governments to make people slaves. I again read where the The Russian government use the Russian Orthodox to help keep the people in tow. Bush and his cohorts has used it keep him in power and yet what has Bush and his cohorts done with it except to make people poorer,put them in debt,destroy our country financally,even destroy our country militarially by going into Iraq which we did not have a land army to do the job. They have done their best to make the rich -richer and are doing a good job. Just look what Senator Frist and his family has done to the HCA corporation and here he is a socall majority leader in the Senate and to this country. Yet people do not seem to understand what the Republican Politicians has done to this country. Look how the Moslem countries have done to their countries and the people with in them. Is there any hope for mankind in this world. The after life philosophy is one of the weakness of both christianity and Islam but they need to teach of taking care of today,get an education and learn to be reponsible for every day life and let the here after take care of itself.Of the thousands of years that mankind has been on this earth -there is not any tomorrow. Some of the older people have lost their brain called al timer desease and there does not seem like these people have any tomarrow so why would their be any thing for anybody else. Oh well no body reads this anyway
