There is news going around that College students cannot think in a constructive way. That is no surprise as our school system is shot. I goes back to grade school with our dumb teachers that only take a little psycology and Socialogy to become grade school teachers. It is even reported that teachers should grade parents along with anylizing grade school students. Just think if the education level in grade school is so low then how are the students going to go onto college and be able to Learn. One more thing that should be brought up and that is memorizing the courses instead of actually learning and be able to do what they are there for. It does take time to learn and it is too bad that our so call educators do not realize it or understand what it takes to learn. If students are not prepared for college then how are the students be able to learn in college. We spend a lot of money for schooling but it is a waste of money since the students do not get anything out of it.Oh well I have written about these things before and I am sure it doesn't get anywhere.
Just a a afterthought there was a news item aobut some high school in Tenn. that if I remember had 96 girls that had babies. One of the ways out of this would be to make the parents of these girls be reponsible for the babies. As long as there is a welfare system that pays for these babies this is want we will. I remember talking to some girl in a small town and she was teling me about a party in the woods. I ask here why she was not there and she told me that if she got pregnant that here mother would throw her out and she would be on her own.
Most of ther fault lies with the teachers as they do not want the parents involved as they think that it would interfere with the levels in the school. So who is at fault for these troubles- It really goes back to our education system. If you think that I am joking then go back to Mcguffy reades and where they the 5 questions in 1st grade. Even when I was a grade school just think by 3rd grade students had fractions and long division and I do not mean 12 divided by 6. We also had penmanship and had to learn truly cursive writing. This take knowledge to learn to write but the madern day grade school teacher cannot write themselves. I could go on but the fruits of what we do as truly show up like this town in Tenn and the discussion about college student cannot do college level work.
