Writing ?

I listened to Robert Kaplan, a noted writer, interviewed on CNN 2(I believe) about his writings and his thoughts about the countries that he has written about.I think he has written at least 10 books and another book in the making. His books are apparently so good that they are used in colleges as references. There seems that one of reasons his books are good is that he has studied history of the areas that he wrote about and not just from the last few years. One of the things that was brought up besides the history of the various places was writing words a a person could see pictures. History is needed to know in order to properly write about the place. The back ground in time is needed so that things will make sense. History is not taught in the American Schools anymore but somehow people need to find the energy and the effort to start reading history books - whether fiction or non fiction. Some of th Best fiction books are usually based on real history. I believe there was a book based on the fact that the Russian fleet was based at New York Harbor during 1864 during the civil war. I am amazed that more fiction books that are based on truth do not come out. There could be some fantastic adventure stores written about historical events. There could be comic strips in the newpapers based history but written as fiction. It might take some imagination and some historical digging to be able to do it. But just think, the youth or general population would learn something beside nothing. This little bit of writing that I am doing in this Blogger etc has sure made reading the Newspapers ,etc more enjoyable. There is so much there is to learn about this world and writing and reading is sure one of the best ways to learn about it. One of the good things about writing is that in no debate . The problem with Debating a subject is in many cases the words are twisted around with no factual basis. One of the good things about writing even if now one read the article- is simple - somewhere in this world somebody has the same idea. I have seen where I wrote to the newspaper and said throw it away. In many cases - there appeared an article about the subject that was written.

Health System

What brought this to mind is the an article about Canadian Doctors want a dual sytem -they say for more efficient system. A Dual system would put more money in the Doctors and probably take some doctors away from the Government system. There are some factors that should be considered. There would be a loss of jobs, private industry would not want to take on Health care and would start to ship more jobs overseas. The next problem would see more people with out health insurance of any kind. The US has 45 or 50 million with out insurance. There was an article about South Carolina dropping the poor off of mediaid. In theUS - the emergency rooms are now full of people without Insurance. The emergency rooms now have people waiting for hours and in a few cases - people have died. In some states due to the cost of the operation and no reimbursement- the emergency rooms are closing up. Of course if the countries would go back to taxing the rich and the corporations- say either pay taxes or hire people and cut the CEO's salaries, I suspect there would be plenty of money for medical care for the people. Just think with all the illegals flooding the medical system what is happening to the systems. OH Well - have fun

Education

I listened to Lou Dobbs and education was brought up. It seems like we import most of our engineers,etc. if you walk into a college and see who takes the math,etc it is not the ordinary average cititizen, it is theOriental either imported or grown up here. The main problem is not money as most our so called educators say but it is our grade school educators. remember our grade school teacher does not have to know any knowledge . Grade school teachers take a little psycology andSocialogy. The grade school teachers does not have to take math,history,etc so how can they teach such subjects. Levels have to raised if schools are to be saved. Students should not be told to reach their own level but should be told to go and learn at a higher level. If the grade school level is not raised how can the high school subjects like physics, chemistry, etc ever be taught. In the 30 's and 40 -for instance in Iowa- Latin was taught in the 9th grade, etc. All the money in the world will not change the school system unless Grade school is changed. Matter of fact as so called Teachers and school administrators got higher degrees -it seemed like the school went down hill. Why do you think that grade school teachers do not want bands as they say the student does not have time- it is simple - To play an instrument-the student has to learn a whole piece. Grade school is taught step by step- adding in 1st grade - 1 plus 1, subtracting in 2nd grade 3 minus 2 , etc. If a pie was baked like grade school is taught we would never have a pie. It might be better set certain level of the course- hire a high school grad to teach- remember these people would not know that a 6 year old is ignorant and would demand that the student go home and learn. Of course the first thing to do is turn the TV off in the homes where little children are and let their imagination go to work for them.

moslem Infiltration of American Government

There has been books out about the Bush family and The Saudi Government and in some sense what was said makes it real . Paul Sperry wrote a book called I believe called "Infiltration" about Moslem groups. what the author said is that it goes all the way to top advisor to President Bush. The Bush administration must be pretty weak mentally and that includes the Republicans in Congress. Paul Sperry said they were setting up camps in Pakistan like they had in Afganstan. according to Paul - our arab translators in the Government are selling us down the drain. Apparently Saudi's are still furnishing money for the terrists. The Congress needs a full investigation of the Bush administration especially his top advisor who apparently maybe selling this country out. And Bush apparently does not have enough brains or leadership to run his own government. Maybe even the Vice President is involved also as his former companies are making millions off of the Iraq war. Even if this book is only partially correct- there is a real problem in The Bush administration. If this is going on maybe this is grounds for inpeachment if nothin else the fiancial affairs in this country and the sell out to big corporations. Paul Sperry said some of the congressmen are reading his book and may use it for investigation of these troubles. It would be nice if somebody would come out with the truth about the Bush administration and what they are doing to this country. I can not believe that President Bush took the Oath of Office that he would defend, etc this country that things like this would go on. From listening to this Author- it is terrible what is happerning to this country. Why is the Media and thanks to CNN some of this stuff is getting out. Maybe the regular media will start to take ahold and do some investigating too. I have rambled enough.

Attacks on convoys been doubled

General Fontaine says attacks on US convoys in Iraq doubled in a story writty By Will Dunham. The question arises besides Armour Plating - can anything be done? I understand the Army has very small Robots that could monitor the highways. These robots can take pictures of what is going on and maybe prevent some of these accidents or attacks on convoys. This reminds me of Star Wars of the movies using robots that were used to look for people. Maybe a Producer of the type that helped make Star Wars would help out in the planning for protection of the Convoys. Writers may not have the military background but could sure help furnish a new scenarios for the planners to help furnish protection for he troops. If the military want to make this operation work- It is going to have to take more than just military to do this . Maybe these people could furnish imagination to use what robots,etc are available to make this operation work, and save lives.

The truth needed about 911

I just listened to Reprsentative Wheldon talk about military intelligence that used open sourcing to research about the people that was involved in the 9-11. What I do not understand that this situation was known prior to the 9-11 problem. I remember reading about it for years. I really believe the Bush Administration knew it was coming and let it happen. (If you remember supposedly Reagan used the hostage situation against Carter and supposedly had an agreement to release the prisoners after he was elected ) Is there anyway to get the truth out of Washington. The people that are elected maybe need to go to jail if they do not tell the truth. Yet Bush gave the ex head of the CIA a freedom medal for his service to this country. If the CIA lied then maybe he should have gone to Jail. There is slowly truth coming out but nobody is going to jail. (I remember the head of CIA covered up for Reagan on the Central American affair.) I realize we elect these people but in their polilical campaigns tell us thing that are almost untruths. Are the American People got so ignorant that we do not know what is going on?Where is the press ? Is our media so controll by big corporations that they are not allowed to tell the truth? Do we elect people that do not represent us - but seem to represent big corporations. What can be done about this situation? I guess anybody can ask questions like I am doing but years ago where I was taking a course and the questions written was more inportant than writing the answers. Getting long winded- We need some changes in this country bad.

Swedish study of early Brain developement

There was a study By Swedish Scientist on children younger than 10 taking piano lessons whether by an instructor or self taught. The article was on yahoo news on 8-09-05 called Early Piano practice gets brain on course for flourishing career.Quoting a Sentence " It is well-known that most of the world's great pianists were already practiceing their scales and arpeggios while still under 10 years old, and the study published in the Nature Neuroscience Journal, shows that this is no coincidence. " It is too bad our grade school "so call" teachers do not understand this information. it is known that grade school teachers want band out of grade school courses. The reason is that to play an instrument the student has to learn the entire piece or scales, etc. The student in grade school is taught piece meal and each session becomes a mountain. The musical leader or instructor has to be able play the instrument and in the process leads by showing and proving that it can be done. The grade school teacher does not lead in the same way. Teacher's college does not teach the subjects to the potential teacher that the teacher will try to lead the student. This article should be very enlightning to our so call Educators.

Loyalty but not blind loyalty

I listened to Tony Blair speech and one of the things that he brought out was people Like the moslems should not be preaching disloyalty to the country that the people live in. preachers of any kind should not be preaching politics and telling people to vote a certain way. These preachers can be bought off and the flock in so many cases do not realize that they are being used and maybe even being abused . Religion should left in the churches and homes but not in public life. Groups in this country live here for 20 years or more and can not talk English. Religious groups are trying their best to try control the public education system. With these people - will we have the Engineer, etc to keep this country growing. For instance in countries where the Moslems are in control - No Jewish Synagog or Christian churches are really allowed. Yet in this country was it not a Moslem Cleric that was the mastermind of the original time the building in New York was tried to be destroyed by a bomb in a car of some sort- I think it was back in the 90's . This article is kinda rambly but trying to say a point.

F 18fighter

I saw a discussion the fighter f 18 that bothers me. It seems the plane has brake problems and according to the article - in order to stop the plane - the pilot has to go through a lengthy procedure. If this trouble has been known - why can not it be fixed. Supposedly quite a few planes and pilots have been lost. Is it politics or what is it that troubles do not get fixed until pilots have been lost and enough blood has been spilled. Why does the Government go though things like this? It seemed like in the past F 16 went through the same things only I think that time it was the Wiring in the wrong location or what ever was wrong and many planes and pilots was lost? Does it really cost too much to fix the planes? Eventually the money has to be spent to fix the troubles. Either that the system in the Military does not work and the management covers up the problems. I do not know but maybe they need a different type liason people to run around with a cup of coffee in the hand but with some common senses to find the right people whether they are low on the scale but the bosses in so many cases do not know the answers and are paid too much - or are not willing to let the lower eschlon do the thinking and the work.

possible breakup of Iraq

There was an article on Yahoo about the possible fight over the oil supplies. It seems like the oil is in 2 major regions - the north where the Kurs live and the south where the Shilites live. I was at a meeting where Senator Spector was speaking and I ask him about the breakup of Iraq. Senator Spector said that US would not allow the breakup and and Iraqies would not do it. It may be in the process now. If the Federalism come about of course the Sunis who used to be in charge will be left out. The Kurds and Shilites will control their own resources. As a matter of fact if this comes about what will Turkey do since they do not an want an independent area or even a semi independent area of the Kurds. Turkey has a big minority of Kurds in their nation. US may have opened up a big kettle of worms since we went into Iraq. It seems like there is not any winning no matter what happens. Someday there will be a world government but that will not happen until we actuall go to space and really see this world from Space or when the human race goes the way of the Dinasoars.
