Security versus freedom

In reading the news there seems to be a confusion factor. Is this country going to give up its freedom for security or is it really phony? What amazes me is the factor that with out all this security problems that there was information as to who was the ones that were going to do the 9-11 problems. We had freedom and the government was not nosing into people private lives like they want to now. I am afraid this will turn into something like the secret police that some countries have had in the past and apparently still has in Russia.Or is this a gimmick just so the ones in power can retain power along with their buddies in big corporations. Is there a need for a dictatorship for us to retain security like the Bush administration wants? I really think there needs to be a wholesale investigation of Bush Administration of their motives. Is there a congress that represents the American People? I heard a discussion between 2 authors on government and the good thing that came out of it was the factor of the need 1 party controlling the concress and the other controlling the Exectutive dept. Oh well -have fun while the american people can or we may not be able to in the future. it is storming out so better get off of this computer. Have a good rest -

Voting

In Wichita, Kansas they are cutting in half the places where people can vote in the next election. It seems like since the republicans in in bad shape, they are going to try to eliminate a group of voters that can not stand in long lines, etc. This is supposely a Republican state and I guess they do not want to lose. If they cut out half of the voters then or the die hards will vote. I really believe they are trying to convert this country into a dictatorship. The republicans are in trouble over the medicare part d and if the older people are eliminated from voting then they can get away with what they are doing. It use to be they wanted to have places that people can vote but I guess it is always a question of who is in power. It is too bad people have never read my blogger as I have been talking about it for several years and everything that I said is coming true. It is just like I told Senator Spector over 10 years ago about Iraq. It looks like a Civil war is coming. Anyway back to voting -the only power that people have is to vote and if they make it impossible to vote- then our freedom is gone. Part of is that it is people's fault for not taking the local paper as TV is not everything- remember TV is like a movie as it goies into one eye and out the other eye. People have to get back to reading and if we had decent schools maybe the Government would not get away with it. I have talked about that before. People need to read and read and study not just watch television. I hope some of this gets across before it is too late.

oil money from Moslem Nations

It is a wonder why the moslems do not use the oil money to upgrade their people, their science, etc. it seems like at least now it is only the Western nations that are using their money for upgrading of science, etc. It seems like a war in this country to keep science, etc going with out a war. I admit with the Unions controlling the education in the US that tries to keep the schools at a very low level. this is off the subject but think- a moslem can not go to space because of the praying 5 times times a day facing mecca or even not being allowed to learn an education without the burden of the religion holding them down. The Moslem nations keep screaming hatred for the west especially the US and Isreal(and the jewish people). Is the Moslem religion that does not have a basic standard that has to use hatred to hold and control it's people. I would think with all the oil money that their people could be upgraded in science, and health etc. It does not seem to work that way. Religion for all of its goodside seem to be used to lower the level. Power is terrible whether it is the religious leaders, or corporation, or even the government leaders that want to stay in power. The average person seem to loose regardless who wants to give the orders. This is history and it is too bad that history can not be taught and learned to be use in the proper sense. I think that I have rambled but it is tough to completely stay narrow on one subject as ideas seem spread over seem to cross over. Maybe that is why a conversation between 2 people seems like an argument instead of a discussion.

teachers

In todays comic strip -Judge Parker - it seems like the teacher was unhappy with Sophia but doing college level work in Junior High. I was supprised when the mother answered back so what. What is wrong with our so called educators that they do not seem to want students to get ahead. What ever the so call ed level is in that class that is what they strive for including knocking students backward.Just think how many students would do better if we had good educators who are trained on psychology and sociology instead of good subject matter. it reminds me of what happened in my family - my daughter wrote a paper on cancer when she was in 7th grade and the teacher refused to send it because of the level of the 7th grade. I talked her into it and she still won 3rd prize. My youngest son was taking band in summer school and was blowing the horn good. He was stuck with hier grade level and one of the instructor found out about his age and stuck him back with the lessor kids. He was never the same person again- why should a child try hard if the so call educator destroys the youth just because they are low level themselves. I was surprised when the comic strip author is taking on the educators. I wrote several years ago is that in the comic strips is one place to upgrade our schools and education even by teaching courses. It is time our schools got a different type of so call educators to lead our children into higher levels and our country to grow higher instead of lower as our so call educators do now. I have rambled enough now. Read Judge Parker- it could be interesting.

CIA director resigns

I see where Goss resigns from CIA. It did not take him very long to see major problems. When Tenet was there, he went along with Bush for the Iraq war but he had to go. then Goss came along and he brought his political allies along and as I said he did not last long. Where are we going to find the necessary leaders that this country needs. It seems like the politicians can not seem to do it, Industry leaders apparaently are not capable as most of them seem to destroy their companies at least the american Versions, it is a problem that needs to be resolved. Many years ago when my oldest daughter was in 6th grade, under leadership of my wife and a teacher, a program was put on by the parents- it was a play written by a teacher and it went over pretty good -the program was a satire on teachers and parents- the main objective was to congratulate the Students on leaving grade school and entering Junior High. This was before so called middle school was started(what it became was another level of grade school since the students could no longer do Junior High work.). I gave a speech to the students about teaching themselves ( LEADERSHIP IN JUNIOR HIGH) leadership. I did not know how the speech went over but was sure hoping that the ideas would take over as this country really needs LEADERS and it sure shows up now. The type of leaders that is coming out of the churches is helping to destroy our country. Where are the people to come from? Leadership needs to come from the general citizenship. Leadership must come from people that is not beholden to big money.

cal thpmas col on 5-3

Cal thomas wrote in todays paper about the republicans not following ronald Reagan and winning the american popularity contest. the stranges part is that they did follow his direction except bush is not the speaker that Reagan was - remember Reagan was an experience actor. Reagan went to war against very weak opponits , got thru tax breaks for the rich, tried to break the unions, did huge enviormental damage with his rulings,There were crooked people in his cabinet, lied to american people about what the tax breaks would do to the national debt.- the list could go on and on. Bush has tried to do the same kind of things and the republican congress has followed suit, I do not think people will go to jail but it could happen, except now the states are suing the federal government over the bad government of Bush. Bush's cabinet has lied to the Congress and the american people including the present Sec. of state.she is trying to do a good job but she is still trying to cover up the troubles. It is too bad there is some rules that the president has to follow and I do not mean sex on the side which was the only thing that Clinton did. For what Bush has done to this country he should be put in a strait jacket . A president should not be allowed to put a country in the financial mess that Bush has done and get away with it. When a president takes the oath of office he should be required to keep this country in a stable financial condition or at least strive for it and quit lying about it. Matter of Fact CEO's of corporation should be required to take the same oath when they take over a corporation. It is too bad that these people can sell out american people like so many of them do.
