Writing to Senators

I wonder if writing to Senators ever does any good. What a person gets back is form letters that really do not say anything. I have written to our Senators and even to our President over some subjects . There is quite a few things that letting our corporations run wild is in the process of destroying our country. I wonder if people even realize what is going on? For instance what has happened in Kansas is for instance our local KGE Electric Co where the people on top supposedly expanded and I do not mean more Electrical Plants but in biying other industries that would give more income to the to the CEO's. Most of the time- is all it does is to put more debt on the Consimers amd reqire the consumers to pay off the Debt that The CEO's put on the Companies. I would think that is fraud and they should be sent to Jail for their bad habbits. I see where Freddie Mac and Fannie May - the top brass are getting huge bonus for what I do not understand. Are these people rally worth it or is somebody just playing with these Company's money becasuse there is few dollars in the Bank. Does the American people even have any Representatives that will truly Represent the American people. Most of these people that we send to Congressl are Crooks and should belong in Jail. I guess that will never happen and our country will continue to go down hill and eventuall we will lose our Freedom, Our Economy and the rest of the Goodies that American Citizenship should mean. This mess started under Reagan when he was President and now it is even worse . Again this reminds me to the End of the Roman Empire. Enmough said --Don

both parties refuse ot answer my questions

I wrote a letter to the President about what Corporation Management does to this country. So far I have not received any answers. Normally they do not as they have these form letters that they write to People. I also wrote a letter to Senator Brownback about a Nation problem and as I said I really do not expect anything back. An if I do get anything back, I expect just a Form letter ack not really saying anything. It is too bad that I never get anything back on these blogs, I guess it is too deep. The health bill in congress

It looks like the American will lose on this deal as too many of the Senators wifes are working for the Health industry. One example is Senator Lieberman who I understand from the TV media is working for the Health industry and of course the Republican who have sold out the American consistently for Big Business. All this selling out American Jobs for cheap labor overseas will in the end sell out the big business for lack of buying power so in the end they lose too. It may take a few years but if you think the 30's was a bad depression wait untill this one hits the road. I think it is time we got new people in the Congress as these people consistently sell out the American people. Maybe the American people will wake up but by the time they do it will be too late and they will be basically slaves. I wrote one time that what is happening is like the Roman Empire and there were huge amounts of Slaves. The Government to keep them happy would put on circuses for the entertainment and people gotr killed by animals, etc I guess I am frustrated this evening. So here I go writing some of Opinions Don

jobs over seas

What is happening in this country. I got a Christmas card from a retiree from the Wichita Eagle and she said they are shipping the accounting department to India and supposedly laid off 4 workers. A niece of mine has her hustband working for Bank of America and shipping their jobs to India. How do these companies expect the American people to buy their products. Alll the fast food places with their low wages will not have money to buy their products. We need to break up these corporation into small units and do something. This country can not go on if these big corporations just pay their management millions of Dollars in benefits There is no way this country can survive if these corporations keep on doing what they are doing. It is just like the Planes used for AirForce tankers was going to buy planes made in France. Are the Frence citizens paying taxes to pay for these planes. Just like 90 percent of consumer goods are made in China and because of this we owe the Chinese Billions of dollars. Maybe if we had a change in Congress and had Senators and Representatives work for the American people instead of big corporations. Matter of fact can we afford the wars in the middle east. I do not think so. I could go on but I have written before about this situation facing American People. But it does not seems to do any good to write these info. Don

Phony District Att.

I have been watching ID on Cable about crimes and how they are solved This last one I watched really have left me what kind of Law Enforcement do we have. Is not the DA supposedly supposed to do an honest investigation along with the police. The police will interagate a person for days without a Lawyer present and they say asked the person being interagated whether they want a Lawyer present. The police will interagate a person when they understand their rights as a ciitizen. It seems all they want to convict a person whether they are innocent or guilty and of course get the public to think that they are great in order to get realected. In this particular case the the girl claimed she was pregnate apparently so she could get out of Jail. They called in a Doctor who was not a gynacologist to see if she was pregnate. She was a General Practicioner and also did was to listen to see if there was a baby's heartbeat. She did not conduct a blood or Urine test. Since it cost 25 dollars and she did not apparently ever check her Patients by test to see if the patients are pregnate. The Defense atty came up with the proof that her tubes were tied so she could not have a baby. But what brought this idea is that District Atty's , all they do is try to convict a person and apparently the Judges goes along with the District Atty to try and get more convictions that is in many cases there is not any proof that the person is honestly guilty. I reallize that these people are all lawyers and they stick together so if the DA wants to convict a person they go into a room and do it. I sat on Jury one time and it turned out the Defense Atty helped convict his client. The average person does not really have the money to hire an Atty to do their Legal Work. Maybe it would help some of these cases if some of the Judges were not Lawyers. Common sense should mean a lot. Lawyers with their so call Legal training maybe has lost theirs. There needs to be a change in our Legal Profession so that the Citizen can have protection. Money talks but that is not protection for the Average Citizen. I do not know what I have written but there is something wrong that our Legal profession goes the route that they do. Don

letter from Sen Brownback about power Station

I got a letter from Senator Brownback as we had sent a letter about Clean air Act. To get to the point Senator Brownback brought up the problem about The Holcomb Power Station growth as the bad part of the denial of construction of the power plants and that they had denied it on the basis of declaring that Green House Gases . The deal in the growth of the Holcomb Plants was bad if for no other reasons that they were going to use Kansas Water which we are in short supply to help generate Electricity for out of state users. Coal by itself does not not generate Electricity and it does put out a heavy dose of Polutants. It is too bad that we send Representatives to Washington that does not support the people only the people that paid their way to Washington. It is too bad that People do not actually look up answers instead of voting say on the Abortion issue, etc. Just look at where the School Lev els are in Kansas. Oh well -Don

Questions onf Boeing 787 problems

The question of troubles on the 787 even though it is new maybe goes back the Amount of Experienced employes that were laid off because they were paid too much and Boeing wanting cheap labor. Exporting of jobs to overseas cheap labor does not bring on better products. I admit that if a change is needed then a person has to start over and get new people. But it does take time to learn and nothin is done in 2 minutes. Between our labor unions and ignorant management - things have to go down hill and they have. And the problems arise such as the 787 and even 380 in Europe and then they have to struggle to overcome. Oh well why should I care as retired but I hate to see things go under, It is too bad they do not use older people like myself to help overcome the present day problems. Don

lEADERSHIP OF CORPORATIONS

In the December issue of Fortune there is a series of article about Leadership and developement of Corporate Leaders. I seriously wonder who they are kidding. They refuse to train or let lower level employees learn their job or learn to get promotion. The last job that I worked was in newspaper circulation and there was every intent to make employees stupid and not have any knowledge of the job that it required. Efficiency per the modern day seems to require ignorance and the blind following the the person in Charge. For instance the following situation came about and because of the way they were requiring typing on Computer terminals - people got Carple Tunnel. Instead of letting the operator type in the address of the custimer so that the knowledge of the delivery route could be learn, they required the typing in of the Telephone Number and agree the address was there but the effort of typing in the address impresses the operator about the route and possible troubles on the delivery. I wonder if corporations are realizing what they are doing by bringing in so call leaders from out of state who are there for the purpose of just training or so it appears that this is the reason. Corporations have no respect for local people except to do the dirty work and train their bosses. As usual I am running around in circle but I have always liked to learn what I am doing. I made the first maps of the country routes by putting townships together and marking out the custimers. That gave me knowledge that as the people called in for wanting paper delivered I could route them to the proper carrier without going thru 3 levels of so call management. There were other ways I found to route these people that saved the Company money along with the idea of growing. I really think that the corporations have forgotten how to grow except thru the stock market. I guess when the Boss just gave orders of items in many cases they really did not know anything about - that way they thought they were earning their money. Degrees are not everything and sometimes learning common sense on the job and class room training by the Company would really increase profits for the company. It might make the employee more valuable than the level the Management tries to keep Employees ignorant. Maybe this is the reason this country is in bad shape Financially that the profit margin has to be so high that there is not any room for employees to make a decent living. From what I read - most top Brass seems to be Crooks and belong in Jail. But they do not there as money talks especially from the top. We cannot continue pay there CEO's the money they are being paid as time seems to say - ( They are not worth it ) as in the end Do these people know their jobs and what it requires to be a Manager of a Corporation. I think that I could go on but the Magazine of Fortune for the DECEMBER Issue brings on more questions than it does answers. I have seen many operations of different companies and they all seem to go same direction. Enough said - Don
