Here is another report on Former Surgeon General Richard Caarmona. He was in the Bush Administration per the article 4 years. It seemed like per the article in Science Daily- that he was blocked from Gong public with any information that might be Negative. Bush sure lacked anything for the American people. Maybe that is why all the people are now leaving the Bush administration because of the negative publicity about the kinda persons that Bush and his administration were. exodus from the Bush Administration

It looks like the Bush Administration is about to evaporate. I was if it is not the reason that they might be afraid to testify before the Democratic Congress. It looks like the Republicans are even after Gonzonles over his mistatements and he even could be sent to Jail. Libby just missed going to jail and actually Cice President Cheney should be impeached over the CIA agent affair. It does seem strange that every Republican administration seems to have either people running for their life to keep from going to Jail or even people wind up in jail. I think there was A California Rep tat wound up in jail. Why do we elect crooks and liars to the White House and Congress. It sure seems strange the caliber of people that are elected. It is no wonder what happened to the Roman Empire that our so call democracy is taking after. Why do the Republicans leave our Government in such bad Financial shape like these people do. I once was a loyal Republican and I sure have changed. If the Government officials get involved with the mass religions, the people sure lose their liberty and there mind to be able to think clearly. It is too bad that people do not learn to think. I told one young man many years to take 3 steps backward and listen to the group that he was with and he would become a different person. Just think what Bush's legacy will be left with- huge national debt by maybe doubling, Huge debt to China with the trade deficit, ( Mexico and Saudi Arabia not the least with the cost of imported oil.) huge increase of local taxes, stupid losses from the Iraq war - what is it 3500 dead, 25000 wounded with about 12000 permently disabled - and the war is not over yet. What a legacy ?, The destruction of the middle class, now the Housing probllem with people losing their homes, and the stock market going bust. It looks like inflation will be incfreasing, Matter of fact - according to what I see personally - inflation has risen about 30 percent. I remember Reagan with the Saving and Loan scandal and of course doubling of the national debt. Now we have another so call conservative Reputlican and what do we have . Is this the legacy of the republican party? Think about this. We also have Apparently Gay Republican Senators who claim to be so morraly strict people. This discussion could go on but in the mean time these people are destroying this country. Could this President be the worst president that this country ever had. Can not the American people vote for better people than what they do? Cam not the American people find another Teddy Roosevelt to do something about our crooked Corporations and their crooked CEO's? washout of Bush Administration

Yesterday another of Bush's phonies drop out of the Bush administration. Gonzales the Atty General just resigned. Or was he fired - but we will never know. There were reports that congress was just to impeach him for lying as he could not answer questions truthfully in order to cover up for the President and the Vice President. The president has just about to run out of people in the Government. Bush sure turned into out dumbest president that we ever had. There is something wrong with the Republicans that get in power. It seemed like the Republicans sell our country out. People are sure comfused by the power that religious right holds with Republican party or is it the Republican party use of the Religious right and the sell out to big business. It is too bad our media has sold out to the republicans and big corporations who are run by crooked CEO 's. It is just like KGE in Kansas where the CEO 's sold out the people of Kansas by guaranteeing that if after stealing money that they would pay for Lawyers to keep them out of Jail. We sure need some honest ATTY Gen's to investigate Corporation practices instead of Abortion Doctors as a public relation ploy. People get taken in so easily. Back to Bush- he was never investigated about his service in the Air Force like they did John Kerry and the supporters of Bush that brought him into the White House sure left this country in a mess. The people got lucky when they brought the Democrats back into power in the Congress and even though they did not get us out of Iraq- they got some truth out of the Bush Administration by forcing them directly or indirectly to resign. I was right even though it took time to get proof. Here locally they are trying get more School taxes but that will not solve our problems in the school ujnless the public wakes up and finds away to throw our so call educators out and get some new ones that are truly interested in students- to learn. Flooded land

I listened to the news and also in the paper where people have been flooded out of their home. I talked to a local official about agreeing to putting homes in flooded home. It seems that realters have so much power that that they can put homes in any flood plain that they want- anything just to sell a house. I remember my sister -in - law telling me about homes that was put in flood plain along side the Missisippi River in Wisconsin. I talked to my niece today and asked her about that area whether it was under water. She said it was and the homes were flooded out and fact some of the homes were washed off the cliffs. Does not the flood plain have some rights. These rights mean that Nature should have more priority over people as Nature will take over regardless. I remember a few years ago- the Federal Government refused to pay any more money to people along the Ohio River. Several towns got moved away from the Ohio River. When are Local officials going to have gut and turn down these construction people from putting houses, etc in Flood Plain. They do it right here in Kansas and then cry when their houses are flooded out. Is it not time when Nature is listened to. It is just like a few years ago - I wrote a paper abouting letting grass grow and not cutting it out by Cheney Resoivoir so that Wichita would have clean water to drink. It stated that it would I am guessing - 5 million toward clean drinking water. I remember a few years ago - the Wichita Eagle put out some booklets that Baffalo and or Long Horn cattle would be better to raise than White face for the climate and the amount of rain fall. This is not about flood plain but in away it as a flood plain is needed around Cheney if we are to have clean drinking water. We have to live with Nature otherwise = Nature will win over the population and we will pay more than double just we are having in New Orleans. Re[uiblicans opposition to Iraq

I listened to a town hall meeting on Cnn with Rep Lindsay of Va amd group people against the war in Iraq. One was a former Terrist official from the Bush admin. and Iraq war Vet. against Iraq. The former admin. man was now a supporter to a Democrat running for office - he appears to be no 3 on the list. With out the Democratic party - there would be no Republican opposition since they would have to worry about not getting reelected. We needed the Democrat bact 4 years ago. Also where were the Democrats when we went into Iraq just so Bush could be re-elected. I did not hear all of the town meeting but somebody yelled that the oil was not discussed as why we went into Iraq. The other things that was brought up was the Tax breaks to the rich that the Republicans voted on,and last but not least huge national debt that was finally brought up - and the of course the tax breaks that are giving up our huge national debt. I am kinda repeating myself - oh well.I see where Senator Warner ( up for re-election ) has brought up the fact we must bring at least some of our troops home. How dumb have the American people gotten. We elected the Republicans issues that should not have been- Abotion, and Religion. Religion has cared about people except to control them- Did they care whether people were slaves during the Black Ages,Did they care whether people got an education, and of course Health Care. Religion did not get involved until 1800's , I am referring the mass of people. Yet they help elect people that is destroying this country. There was a reason the signers of the Constitution said there should be a barrier between Government and Religion. It is time that we never have a one party government again. If we are to succed keeping our country= The rich has to pay taxes, Poor has to get government help and I do not mean just a hand out, and we really do need better schools, - and that will only depend upon Educators that reallly take a real education based on histroy,Georgraphy,Math etc not on Psycology and Sociology. question on Iraq

Why did we go to war in Iraq? I have the latest issue on Foreign Affairs Quartery and there is a discussion on the Generals involved. Apparently there was not a good discussion on going into Iraq. As Rumsfeld said in Iraq to a soldier- we go to war with what we got. There was an apparent reason to go. But what for? Was it a politicol decision by Bush and his advisor maybe Rove? Was it for winning an election and getting a Republican majority so they could put their tax program thru. Was it for the purpose of pushing for a dictatorship? There is a drive to combine Canada ,US, and Mexico mainly it appears for cheap labor for industry. There needs to put on stand under oath a full blown discussion on who was the people who wanted to go to war regardless of the consequences. How do we get into these desasterous situtation especially with our Financial situation. Is Bush so stupid that he would sell out our country to China with the Trade imbalance. Is Bush so stupid that he would destroy our country financial base for a few of his rich friends? I remember that Enron Corporation problems when the State of Calif. asked him to step into their power problems and he refused to do it. There are so many questions that need to be answered. Did the Bush administration know who the 9 11 people as it seemed like they were known and the results of the Airplane into that building. So was the 9-11 deliberately done so that we could relect Bush and his cohorts. Again there needs to be a full blown discusssion uner oath what happeened and why etc. Maybe there needs to be a bull blown discussion with the Generals about the 9 11 and the questions on going into Iraq. Why should these people walk away from this mess with out being under oath and explaining their roll. We also had weak kneed congress that did not do their part. Last by least whey was the media that should have been asking question instead of helping to propragandize going into War. How come the heavy national campaign against Hilaiary Clinton - just like they did John Kerry. Who paying these people off to keep going after these Democrats.? Something is wrong with these media- that there is a constant barriage of anti Clinton. People wake up because look what we got with Bush . I realize that big business owns these operation. Is that what Big business wants to do to this country and that is to destroy our democracy and our country. But this is a constant barrage - every day - this complete time on anti Clinton. We do not have an honest media, it looks like they are trying to destroy this country. There is not a republican that is told the truth about them. Just the lies that were told about Bush's background in the military comparing to Kerry's background. Yet the cnn and msnbc went after kerry like he was a wild animal. I would like to know who is paying off these people to go after the Clintons like they are doing. I think they spent somewhere abound 150 million to try to get Bill Clinton. How much are they paying these people to get H. Clinton. I wonder if the truth will ever come out as to who is trying to destroy our country. Maybe I will never see the truth but it sure would be real if we could find out who paying off these people to act the way they do every day. don

Ks highways and bridges

There was an article in the local paper about a bridge that was falling to pieces with a picture. It was very graphic as the pieces of concrete on the ground along with seeing the iron on the bridge showing. I guess the bridge in Minneapolis sure helped in getting our local problems come to fore. at one time the local paper used to have groups of reporters and photographers go after local and state problems. They would then publish it and let the public digest the problems. The newspapers really need to do this again especially about our highways and bridges. They will need plenty of pictures to go with the words. I guess the local bridge is supposedly will be rebuilt. I hope so as the transportation links are really needed. Maybe it is time they decided to do this again. I hope that they would train these reporters into the techiques of bridge construction and road construction so that the article would be very factual. It takes knowledge to properly write an article not just words. Here would be a chance to have comics based on these things with the adventures of being constructive so that people could learn about what is going on. Oh well - hope this get out- Don

The mine disaster in Utah

There are questions that really need to be answered. The first is why is there not communication between the miners and the outside. There should be some form of wire communication every place in the mine. There was a need for for Union as the mine owners is not enough communication between the mine operators and the outside world. Where is the media in writing so that people know what is going . The internet is not enough of an answer as people still read. at one time a newspater in kansas used to put out special magazine made of of maybe 20 sheets that Reporters used to write up investigated reports. Matter of fact these were sold to schools that were used in Class rooms by teachers -teaching special subjects. This is what is needed now so that Corporations do not cover up the troubles. I realize there are books on the subjects but it is not the same as this type of thing. They would print several thousand and ship them out and they did make money. Matter of fact they were put in the local editions and the people would usually buy these special editions by them selves. There is a need for media to investigate what goes on and not just put them out on the internet. People read the internet but it is not the same as the printed editions that used to come out for the public to read. But remember these papers are now owned by huge national Corporations and this might interfere with their profit or their fellow corporations and buddies profit. The federal government will help cover up these troubles because of the buying of politicians in Congress. Again we need A Teddy Roosevelt to fight for the American public. Cafferty file on 8 -14 question

Today something caught my attention on CNN on the question from the Cafferty file and the question -can not quote but it was whether this country was getting like the Roman Empire back a 1500 years ago. It floored me and I thought I would jumped out of chair. I wrote a blog several years ago how this country was getting like the end of the Roman Empire. Some of the comments that he received comments that made sense. This country is getting deep in debt, our government under Bush is try to be a dictatorship and will not obey the constitution, people are getting deeper in debt. Local taxes are starting to get out of site. Mater of fact local property tax just went up to pay Teachers more money who do not know how to do a job, People know less and less,people pay for Arena that are being put up for professional sport teams, Just think the Romans put up arenas so that they could entertain the masses and to keep them happy. The federal government is trying to go to war to keep the peoples minds off of local problems like bridges falling down. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer and trying to bring in cheap labor so they (the rich ) can have bigger homes and never pay taxes. The mass religions are trying to keep people ignorant and are used to make the the rich can hit the poor with more taxes like more sale taxes. Oh yes Walmart came out today to announce that the people could not buy things at the end of the month and could not afford maybe to eat. I could keep wondering but will stop. Yes things are getting like the end of the Roman Empire. I again was shocked to listen to that question that I had written about some time ago. I about jumped out of my chair. We need a change in this country matter of fact in this world things like get the Clerics out of so much power and it is being used to destroy people like Islam. But they are not the only ones that preach such things. Moslem Religion and end of the Earth

Just think that if a super volcano like the one at yellowstone natonal park blows , what will happen to the people and animals on the Earth. They will all die. according to info this happened about 70 thousand years ago. the Scientist think this could happen at any time. The mass religions like the Moslem preach so much hatred and preach that people should be ignorant and not have any education. they want people to memorize the Koran and the Christian bible that teaches distruction of the human race. Religous leader want people to be ignorant so they can be the Dictators. Just remember the history during the middle ages both in Europe and the Russian orthodox Church to keep the Czars in control. They are trying to do the same thing under the Republicans in the US and people do not realize what is going. Just think during the last Presidential the Priests were using their influence to help elect Bush as Bush was talking about the Government to help the Religious leader stay in control of people and keep Bush and big corporations in control of our Government. People need to start to think because mother nature will destroy this globe like it has happened many times before because all the Dynsoar bones that have been found as they were destroyed by Nature when their time was run 0ut. We need to go to space if we are going to survive as a human race so instead putting our money into wars like Bush's Iraq was it will be necessary to put that money back into our earth and space projects. There is an article by David Gardner in FT.com that puts the same light on the subject of why Pakistan is in the same boat as Saudi Arabia. That is that the moslem Clerics are more powerful than the present leader of the government. It is remembered where the money for these come from and that is Saudi Arabia and of course oil money that we pay for. Isn't that wonderful that we are paying for our own destruction just like heavy deficits that we have with China and now Mexico from our so called trading partners. This country and Sex and teachers

I know a young man that got himself in trouble 10 years ago. But there is more to it than that. This country has gone crazy over hanging every person that has gotten in trouble over Sex. They will fill the prisons with people and turn them loose then they go back again because they really do not stand a chance. it use to be if a person got by 10 years with a clean record then they were taken off of the internet. for instance in Kansas or it is my impression any minor mistake and they are sent to prison. I realize it really just politics and crazy people because there are not good parents, teachers that do not know how to lead such as a simple thing like telling young children in kindegarten and 1st grade that they have to do it not by calling them poor baby. If ten years is not long enough to keep oneself out of trouble and be allowed to make a life for one self then we have the wrong people in our government. At least When I was a kid if I got my self in trouble- I was literally given a swift kick and go on and straighten out. Nowday they give young kids drugs, send them to a phony Psycologgist who plays with words and does not help these young people. All the talk in the world does not set up young kids to grow up and be a young adult. We are destroying this country with our phony grade school teacers and so call school counselers, whose education is based on Pyscology and socialogy. A simple thing like a test in grade school every 6 weeks and that would be their report grade. Then the young adult would have to learn to grow up, and learn to stay out of trouble. then maybe we would not have so many prisons be full of people. I have seen a lot of things in my life but the modern system is destroying our country. Truth is stranger than fiction. Maybe if we want this country to survive then we may have to quit lying to our young people. Computers have with their records on everything is also destroying our country and our country is losing many people with brains that are needed. enough . The Iraq war, volunteer army and the draft ,etc

The rumore and discussion amoung the chiefs is they may have to install a draft in order to enough troops to go. It has been acknowdleged that we do not have replacement troops for Iraq. Tjeu are now talking about putting the draft back in as the need for manpower is growing by the leaps and bounds. The talk about going into Iran is really troubling as they are supposedly killing our troops in Iraq along with the Shittes. Then again it may be an excuse to beacome the dictator that the republicans have been edging to since Reagan and big business. the economy is slowing going down hill especiallywith low wage Mexicans in the force and housing market blowing up along with the Stock market. The excuse is always go for a bigger war but the problem is can we afford the the present war with the volunteer military. I used to belong to the Air Force Society and industry put on a campaign to get the group to put pressure on the Government to buy more B2's . I told them a meeting that they cost too much to buy new ones and honestly to maintaain them as they cost several arms and legs to keep them flying . I have said that if we are going to war then there should be draft and all the Americans be involved. As it is, basically it is the poorer section that want money to go to college that sign up and with the quanity of people dying over there, the reserves being used up and I gather when they come back they loose their normal day time jobs. This is illegal but the military is not supposed to use reserves like full time troops and that is what is happening. I guess I could wonder so more but people ought to read and find out what is going on. The Bush and the republican crowd wants the average low way worker to pay all the taxes yet the rich and industry wants to make huge profits and not pay any taxes. I am rambling better quit. 35 w bridge in Minneapolis, Mnn

There is a story that the investigators found an installation defect. I do not know how true that the story is but a question comes to mind from my own experience in working in a repair depot that did military work. they used ot have a Company inspector and a military inspector to check the equipment before it was shipped out to the Radar Site. Then later on these companies talked the military into not have a company inspector to check the equipment - just have the Technician show it to the Military inpector and he in this case would talke the military inspector to aaccept the equipment. The last Radar that I was involved in - in my opinion never really worked right. Matter of fact there was a airborne fire control equipment that was red tagged out of the factory and had to be remanufactured in St Louis. The manufacturers have talked everybody into accept as is from factory that it is a waiste of money to have other inspectors checking on the equipment. Don't the States or who ever is in charge of these Bridges and roads have real inspectors to check the work. I know there is a problem with inspectors with city quality control about checking home building as they seem to just check the paper work unless the home is built by the person going to move into house. I know the house that my son bought had broken concrete in the Garage and I am not sure whether the it was ever really repaired.The states should have a quality control person on the job as the bridge or roadway is built to keep the troubles down. But where are the quality people to be found to do the job. I remember back in the 30's the salemen knew things about what they were selling that is not known by the people selling merchandise now. It seems like they all memorize words but really do not know the the equipment. Is this what is known by the quality control people. I remember the last radar installation they brought in a young quality control person and all he knew was the words from a book and the wiring in radar set went bad. He did not know things that should have been known to make it work. Is this the same type of problem in the Bridge and road building that is going on ? I am starting to ramble so better quit. China threatning our country with ruin

I see where China is threatning our country with taking in the money that we owe them. Billions of dollar off our trade deficit. as I said in blogs in the past - Bush ought to be impeached for what he has done in selling out our country. Companies like walmart in making big profits have sold this country out. Big corportions do not care about the US as their CEO's become kings with out any leverage on them to be part of this country. They have moved their Corp HQ 's out of this country so they would not have pay taxes. As I said in a preveious Blog - we need a Teddy Roosevelt again to redo our so call international Corps and put our people back to work at decent wages and benifits. We will never do it with the Republicans and some democrat. There was a convention of the Unions in Chicago and some got up and complained about the retirement and health benifits from LTW Steel I believe. ARepublican go up on a later show and suggested that each individual buy and keep their own insurance. If the decent wages are not their how can the person keep their own insurance. Remember that Texas Company Bush refused to help the emplayee when the Company went under. We need a president and a congress that will work for this country and its people. I do not know what can be done about China and the huge amount of money that is owed as they really could bring this country down and with out sending any troops over here. The Trade deficits will have to be handled somehow. Remember the Savings and loan scandal under Reagan that he refused to do his job as the tax payers had to pay for it. It was around 100 billion dollars and on Bush's kids was in on the scandal out of the Denver saving and loan. It was at least 100 thousand dollars. Clinton with the Nasa did not really help our country but at least he helped balance our budget. Investigate and start to find out what is really going on. The 35w bridge in Minneapolis

One thing the Bridge (on 35w in Minneapolis) going down has woke up the rest of the Country. Apparently when most roads and bridges were built - they did not take into the account of the future heavy traffic. Part of the heavy traffic should be on the RailRoads who also pulled out of many areas because there was not enough profit and the tracks are also not made for heavy traffic. Rail Roads are controlled by a few individuals who want to make millions instead maybe only a couple. Again when corporations get too big we have nothing and beginning of the destruction of this country. We have a President and the Republican party that wants to destroy this country. If you think this is not so then look into our trade pacts with China,Mexico , etc . The amount of trade deficit that we have with our trade partners. Again if they wind up tax us too high to get transportation problems repaired - the local taxes will be so high that people will lose their homes whcih they are starting to lose their homes enmass now. Regardless of what people - the rich have to taxed whether this is called Socialism or not because they can not take in all the money or huge profits or this country will go under. If the thought is not plausible then read what happened during and after the Roman empire and during the dark ages from 400 ce to about 1700 ce when things started to change. There were two big changes - one the Mass Church started to lose power and people started to get transportation going and factories gave jobs to people. We need to keep the Roads and bridges, and the Railroads going into order to transport merchandize and people all over the country. We have to quit making bridges and roads cheap and make them for future needs not for past needs. enough as will start t o ramble . Just to ramble a little and one of the troubles is students no longer learn history or Geography in Grade schools as our so call educators are trained that our grade school students are too dumb to learn an education. Baseball and newest 300 game winner

What they say that glavin will be the last 300 game winner. what is it - Tom Glavin is I believe 41 years old. I guess with good graces, health, and a little luck - well he made it. I wish him good fortune for making the group. I really wonder how many native born players will even play in the professional baseball as they have gone world wide to look for players. It used to be an American game but it is no longer as most of the players come from Central and South American countries. Yet the game is essentially paid for in US cities. I guess that is one of the reasons I have lost interest in Baseball. Some of the players do not even talk English or they are very hard to understand. They do put on a very good show. Even NBA is putting on a great show with international players. It is even like in our colleges when a person checks into who takes Math and Science - who is it that takes the tough courses but foreign born students I guess I am jealousy but what is happening to this country and our Americaan born people. Can they no longer do the tough things that used to make this country great? Maybe it is the politicians who have sold out to Big Business and of course it may be like Rupert - the Australian who have taken over our media like wall Street Journal who sold out the American people even before Rupert took over the media like Fox News. I could go on but it does bother me that we no longer have Ameican Born doing things for the United States. Again I believe it is our School sysgtem that basically has sold out the americans with their approach that we are not capable of learning of doing anything even like Sports. Don

Just think all the responsibility for transportation etc is the States. Yet he can deliberately go to war and lie to the American people about the Iraq war . This is what President Bush said. Here is man that has sold out to Big corporations like the Oil Company and countries like Saudi Arabia talking as he usuallly does like a big foo.. Interstate commerce is the reponsibility of the Federal Government not the states. This includes the Rail Roads. it is too bad that Bush is in such a big hurry to try to convert our democracy into a Dictatorship with slave labor that he can not seem to understand what the job of Presidency is. he really needs to resign his office along with Cheny and get a new person in that office that is interested in the American people. I think the Bridge problem in Minnesota has shown what kind of President we have along with the Republican party. They have gone out of their way to try their best to destroy this country. Remember the Salvings and Loan scandal during the Reagan year. It did really start with Goldwater who talked about lowering taxes on the rich and the powerful although at that time I thought he was great. Giving the rich and the power full a tax release does not solve our country's problem as they will just give themselves bigger castles. Just of what happened during the Roman Empire and the slavery days of the dark ages. I have said before that Bush has tried to destroy this country inorder to destroy our demacracy and they could The Republicans can be kings etc. It is just like we went into Iraq on lies and threatning people with the idea that we do not support the defense of our country. The people accepted these lies and did not know better due to our lousy public school and the media controlled by big business who have their own program to push. war versus our infrastructure.

There is a debate as to whether we can afford to build or fix our infractructure. I do not think we can afford to go to war anymore if our civilization as we know it will survive. I remember studying the result of WW2 of what happened to the railroads and the result of demise of the railroad due to several thing such as the Railroad Barons stripping the treasury and running the railroad with out maintenance,and new desiel engines. We have to maintain our infrastructure or go out of business. and that includes forcing our education set up to face the truth about what is wrong. Do we want another black ages like we had from end of the roman empire and the slavery introduced by the Rich Romans and circuses to entertain the people. We can not just go to war for every little thing especially with all the fancy equipment that is putting us out of business. They complain about going to space but in the end that is honest progress both in progress in civilization , health ,etc . What do we gain by stupid wars and wheapons that can kill us in bigger bigger groups? The problem is that idiots like Bush and even the mass church can organize people into mob violence and help destroy our civilization. If we want to make our civilization to progress we have to maybe forgo orfind a way that people can live in peace and rebuild our infractructure and of course our schools that will give us people that can learn and learn to live in peace. Maybe there is a need to build a school that just turns out people that understand what it takes to get people to live in peace and Harmony. These are just thoughts as we really need a world government that lives on the principles of our governement before it is too late. highway bridges and roadways

The 35 w bridge that went down sure has woke up american people that is if CNN and MSNBC keep up the programs on highways deficient problem. I read where the Highways in Germany last much longer than does the highways in the US. From what I have seen - there is not deep enough base put on but anyway supposedly the Contractors guarantee the roads for several years. I saw where Bill Neye the science guy was explaining why bridges may fall down. The corrosion is apparently a factor as the maintenance covers them up with paint after clearning the surface so the metal over time gets thinner. The bridge gives as the traffic goes over the bridge so if the metal is tied to the ends eventually gets weaker then there is not enough metal to support the concrete driveway. That is apparently what happened on the 35W bridge in Minnesota and from what have come out - the troubles were known . Hour highway system is an interstaate system so the State Government is not completely in controll and matter of fact most of the highways are built with 90 percent federal and 10 percent so in effect the federal government is really the responsible party . I remember when Eisenhower built the plans came out of the defense dept because the states either could not afford the highways or because of local problems would not build the the highways system. When the states got involved in the planning what did they do but make many of the highways in local streets and effectively destroy the national system of the defense highways that were designed for defense and national transportation system. Just to change the thoughts with the Railroads under a big profit system- the road Beds are not made to honestly haul extreme heavy loads and at speeds that would make for a better transportation system. For instance in Europe - trans go 200 or even 300 miles per hour and also in Japan. What is wrong with this country? Is profit system so based on profit that we do not actually have a decent railroad system. Once of the causes of the great depression is the Railraods broke down and railroad barons took too much profit. Now we are in the process of the selling state highway systems to private enterprises and what will happen to our Highway sysstem when they want to take more profit out of the transportation system. There is only a true profit system of the most of 20 percent and when these corporations want to take more than that then the country really suffers as the average worker can not pay that much with pure wages. this is a subject I will write more late on. Secret programs and being a dictator

Secrecy from a president will be the beginnings of a dictator. When he brought in the original Atty general - they started the secrecy and the beginnings of Bush wanting to be a dictator. Is this what we elect a dictator. All the security schemes that are kept from the people will help make us slaves. It is possible that maybe Bush does not want to be a dictator but his ideas will destroy our demacracy. Even with out all the so call security schemes - they seem to know the 9-11 terrisits but did not want to do anything about it so they could win elections and go to war against Iraq. He is not the first president that used war to win elections and want power. We can go back to Roosevelt and ww2 with Japan. think about what happen in Hawaii and way things were lined up at the airfield, Aircraft carriers were sent to sea so that they could not be bombed while the battle ships were lined up in the harbor and the planes were lined up to be destroyed by Japanese fighters. Johnson sent a ship into N Korea to be deliberatered was it sunk I have for gotten so we could go to war against Vietnam. I even thought that we had the bietnam war because of China. But things with Bush has been from the start to go to war against Iraq and try to become a Dictator. If we need war to keep up our country why not just go to space to gain finances. It was the space program that brought about the monitors etc for the heart but I guess we have gained from the Iraqian war we have learned alot about improving health like artificial legs etc but we could invest in these things from all the automobile accidents etc . So why do we have to go to war to improve ourselves. But what bothers me the most is our growth toward being a Dictator. Again i say remember the end of the Roman Empire - the growth of the dictatorships and use of religion to control people and make people into Slaves. That is one of the reason the world uses the hatred of the Jews as they a group believe in freedom and growth of people in both fiancial and education. I have rambled enough my mind does not seem to stay in one area and I guess that is why I never became a writer. There is not any way to improve our education with out going back in time.
