Recession or depresson

They are talking about above subjects as to what is happening to this country. The Government keep blaming the people for the above problems. Industry keeps laying people off and sending the jobs over to low pay countries. Industry keeps paying their top management huge wages along with the bad management. The management does the job of trying to expand their companies instead of just running their companies. This always reminds me of the what Steel industry did when they were crying that they were paying too much taxes etc. They got the tax breaks and they used it to buy into other companies and of course they went under. Did they get the blame no who did they blame but the so call high wages paid to their employes and what is happening to this country- Simple the people no longer have the money to buy merchandise and they use credit cards to keep up their standard of living. this is a simple way of saying what is wrong with this country. President Bush lied to this country about the Iraq war and did not have the money to go to war. I really do not think we can go to war with out a change in our taxes and I mean for people to go to work and rich and the powerfull have to start paying taxes and one more thing the wars shoud be declared not just have a dictatorship. The draft need come back so the people understand what we are doing and what we are getting into instead of so call volunteer force that is lied to inorder to get young people to sign up. It is just like the town I live in -what does the city and school board do but keep on pushing for more bond issues and or debt or raising property taxes to pay for new building or things like Arenas, new school building and the list could go on. Taxes

I wonder what people think about taxes. For instance in Wichita, Ks. they lost their school Superintendent and yet they want to put out another Bond issue for new building. Yet our so call Middle Schools etc are really behind the 8 ball. The gentleman quit to go New Mexico - I wonder what he can solve there. Maybe he is good at getting new buildings but he sure did not do good at raising standards or so it seems. Our so call union teachers can not seem to produce either. We still do not have a grade school system that would prepare the young students for Middle school. It seems like in 3rd grade the pass the tests ok and then that is the end of the game. I see where in California they are going after home schooling because they do not have parents that have a stupidl degree from Teacher's college. If it is taken back in the 30's when the teachers did not have degrees then the standard were a lot higher today. Of course they still have 20 minute classes and who can learn anthing in 20 minutes. Anyway they had Bill Gates on the can not think but anyway the congress people was asking him quiestions. I guess he uses his 10 plus billions to supposedly help the world. I listened intently I am not sure what Bill Gates was talking about except maybe more computers and technology. There was this Representative who asked questions and not soul realized that if there is not decent grade schools or even teachers that have a little knowlege much higher than baby sitting well we never get any where.

trade with Africa

There is an article in Foreign Affairs titled China and India go to Africa about Chinese and Indian companies trading with African companies and about the problems with those areas. At the present time it seems like they are getting raw material like oil etc but the question is the trade a truly mutual agreement. I remember reading about a company taking over the water to people and in the end the people did not have water to drink or use. Most of huge international companies are just stripping where they go to trade or take over local companies. Most international companies are not under the control of any local administration just like what is happening in this country - here for Instance the Bush adminstration is selling out the American worker along with the international corporations. I have read and heard that it is time to bring back people like Teddy Roosevelt to enforce the Antie trust laws. Even when these companies go under they wind up paying their CEO's Millions of Dolllars. They are having a discussion with Congress over some of these deals. Yet in the discussion with the Boeing Airplane deal- they want to discuss it behind Closed doors. These governments have sold out the people and it does not seem to just to the US . They do not want to pay any taxes and legally use every suberfuge to not pay taxes. yet it is always the worker's fault. I remember when NWA went provate and NWA owed I think it was 3 billions dollars in debt. The management put the blame on the Unions and the worker . It appears from the article that these Chinese and Indian Companies are trying to the same thing. It is a problems when companies get to big or the secrecy of the Government get too much control these problems start to exist. Profit is great but when it destroys the country when it is going to war over nothing just to make profit- it does not make much difference. I guess I wandering too much but it is strange what the Governments and big corporations will do to make profit one way or anther and the lies that are told the public to push their philosophy and cover their tracks. It is no wonder that Civiliazations have gone under. How much longer will this phasle of civilization will last maybe another 100 years? enough said -Don

Economy etc

It seems like the Iraq war is taking it's toll. Now it is the property that is taking its toll along with repossion of the property by Banks etc . The problems is that the wages are gone, the jobs are not there and local taxes keep going up. If the income of people stay the same or even go down how can the bills be paid. Everybody want a pay increase off of the property taxes and the banks that own the insurance companies wants away to increase the fees on people - so where does that leave people even the older generation who live on SS but their costs keep going up so maybe they will be on the streets. If we keep on electing Republicans with their ideas of taking care of the rich and the powerful hoping that they will spend their money on economy - should I say ha ha. That is not the way the world works. I see by the internet where the Billlionaire in Indonesia wants the Government to bail him out. 700 million dollars worth. That is the way the world works. The more money the rich have - the more they wants. Instead of paying taxes or trying to make production items cheaper - they try to raise the prices and make more money. Just look at the Oil companies making billions instead of just millions and lowering the price of gasolene so that people can live but instead the oil companies try to raise the prices to make more money and want the tax breaks. I guess I better quit griping and close this article.
